I apologize for the sideways picture, but this is the apron I made for my boyfriend. He looks very nice in dark brown, and although the fabric was dizzying to look at while ironing, the stripes aren't too much when he's wearing it.
This Baby Ribbon Blanket is for my friends' baby girl. This is the same couple for whom I made the wedding blanket. Her dad doesn't like all the pink that's been invading the house, so I tried to use more neutral colors, but put in a dash of pink. I did put the wrong block in one of the corners (go ahead and find it!), and the blocks aren't all the same size or perfectly straight, but my friends love it and it's a great first effort!
I made this Fold-Up Tote for my friend's birthday present. The one on the left is my first attempt. I had enough mistakes and tore it out enough times that I decided to keep it for myself and make my friend a different one. It turned out much better, and now we having matching totes!
This is a reversible tote bag that I found here. I wanted to start a new knitting project, so I'd better make a new bag, right? It was a wonderful excuse to make a brand-new bag. The sizing wasn't perfect, so the inside is a big larger than it should have been, but it works for me. I highly doubt I'll reverse it. The inside is just turquoise, so I just made sure any bunching was minimal and on the inside. I'm very proud of it!
I put together this dpn needle case myself. I used this tutorial from "Ruth's Place" to help me create it. I was having some trouble following it, so I changed things up a little bit to suit myself. The one thing that was really difficult for me was figuring out what to sew together first. I ended up putting the strip at the top on last, so there's a big line of sewing on the back of this otherwise-very nice case, but it's a project I'd definitely do again, so I will just adjust next time! I'm very proud of the fact that I made it myself, even if I did break two needles doing it! I'm off to the craft store today to get some more materials so I can make a few more projects!
