This dress is for my little goddaughter. She's very long, but quite tiny yet. The pattern is for 0-3 months, and she's 7 months old, so I used a size 7 needle in place of a size 6 to give her more space. It is meant to be worn with a t-shirt underneath, so she'll have time to wear it yet.

Needles: Size 7 (calls for size 6)
Yarn: Premier Yarns Deborah Norville Collection Serenity Sock Weight in Saffron
Union Long Beanie
This is my sister's Christmas present. The middle set of cellular stitch caused me many problems, but I love how it turned out! Those few rows in the middle cost me an entire snow day in which I was going to finish this hat and my fiance's Christmas gift as well. My poor fiance received his gift after Christmas!
My sister loved the button touch...it was just an extra button I had from a two-pack! There are benefits to having notions like this lying around!

Needles: Size 3 16" circular and 4 dpn
Yarn: Knit Picks Swish DK in Squirrel Heather
Elephant
My first knit toy was given to my fiance's (then my boyfriend's) baby nephew for his baptism. He loves it! It was quite a challenge to sew all the pieces together. It may be a while before I try another toy, but it was a lot of fun!
Pattern: "Elephant" by Sarah Keen
Needles: Size 3
Yarn: I Love This Yarn! In Greybeard

Fingerless Gloves
I wanted a challenge of a project, so I decided to make myself some fingerless gloves. I direct a church choir, and always find that I have cold hands at practice in the winter. The short wrists of these will keep me from having to stretch out the cuffs of my shirts, and it's a fun, pretty yarn!

Drop-Stitch Scarf
I started this scarf maybe two years ago, and just never finished it. It's the only project just sitting around that I have interest in picking up again, so I have!

Gathered Scarf
This scarf was for my boyfriend's mom, but by the time I was done with it, it was for my fiance's mom! I managed to finish it weeks before Christmas, so I could work on other gifts as well.Pattern: "Gathered Scarf" by Maryse Roudier
Needle: Size 4 circular, Size 7 circular
Yarn: Knit Picks City Tweed DK in Plum Wine
Status: Completed! Wedding Blanket
This is my infamous blanket. I'm making it for my friends, who got married last August. Yes, I had intended to finish the blanket before their wedding. No, I did not finish it, as you can see. I have managed to finish it before their first baby came, by about two weeks! Whew! Under the wire!Pattern: "Surrounded" by Susan Rainey (Knit Picks)
Needle: Size 8, 40" Circular
Yarn: Knit Picks Comfy Worsted in Pomegranate
Status: Completed!
Easy-Knit Shawl
I made this shawl to go with a skirt I bought at Goodwill. It is a beautiful brown skirt with a turquoise paisley pattern, and I have the perfect turquoise tank to go with it, but I just could not find a brown sweater nice enough to go with it, so I decided to make a shawl! My goal was June 2nd, so I could wear it for my friend's wedding. I finished it at midnight the night before! It was my first time wearing a shawl, and it wasn't as cumbersome as I thought it was. I'll definitely make another one!Pattern: "Easy-Knit Shawl" by Kathy North
Needle: Size 13, 29" Circular (I'd suggest using a longer cord if you have one)
Yarn: Cascade 220 Superwash, color #872 (2 skeins)
Status: Completed!
